Collecting Player Payments

Ultimate Scoreboard provides league owners with a flexible and reliable way to collect and track payments from players. You can configure your payment settings either for the entire league or on a season by season basis, depending on how you manage your registration process.

Payments can be collected individually from each player or as a single lump sum from the team captain. You will also set your required payment amounts in this area. Payments are collected in whole amounts only and cannot be submitted partially. If you choose the team payment option, only the team captain will be able to submit the team’s payment.

Before payments can be collected, you will need to visit your Payments page and connect your Stripe account. This setup is quick and typically takes only a few minutes. Once your Stripe account is connected and your payment settings are configured, you are ready to start accepting payments from players.

Players who owe payment will see a prominent notification on their Profile page prompting them to complete their dues. League owners also have the option to require payment before an account is fully created for a player, ensuring that only paid players enter the system.

All payment activity is tracked on the Payments Page, where you can review who has paid, see which players or teams still owe, mark off payments that were received outside the platform, or initiate a refund when needed.

Ultimate Scoreboard allows league owners to create and manage discount codes to give flexibility in how payments are collected. You can create discounts on the Discounts Page and configure them to reduce a player’s payment by either a fixed amount or a percentage.

Discounts can be used in two ways. You may create a code that any player can enter during checkout, or you can apply a discount directly to specific players. Directly applied discounts will automatically adjust the amount owed when those players go to make their payment.

This system makes it easy to offer early-bird pricing, financial hardship assistance, staff or volunteer discounts, or any other custom payment adjustments your league requires.

Off Cycle Payments allow divisions to collect fees outside of standard player or team dues. Each division can configure its own Off Cycle Payment amount, and the payment link can be shared directly or accessed via QR code.

These payments can be made by anyone, whether they are a registered member of your league or not. This makes Off Cycle Payments ideal for collecting substitute fees, guest player fees, or any other one-time charges your division needs to track.

All Off Cycle Payments are recorded and visible on your dashboard, allowing league owners and admins to monitor which payments have been completed and maintain accurate financial records throughout the season.
